Corona High School Named 2022-23 Project Lead The Way Distinguished School

Corona High School was named a 2022-23 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School.

Corona High School was named a 2022-23 Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Distinguished School. It is one of only 262 high schools across the U.S. to receive this honor for providing broad access to transformative learning experiences for students through PLTW’s computer science, engineering, and biomedical pathways. PLTW is a nonprofit organization that serves millions of PreK-12 students and teachers in more than 12,200 schools across the U.S.

I am so incredibly proud to serve as the Principal of Corona High School that is now a nationally recognized PLTW Distinguished School. We are one of only 26 high schools in the entire state of California to be awarded this distinction.Only 2% of the PLTW schools nationwide earned this distinction and we are one of them! I want to congratulate all of our PLTW students, teachers and families for committing to pathways in Engineering, Bio-Medical Sciences, or Computer Science." Ben Sanchez, Principal.

PLTW offers a quality of education to our students that prepares them for success beyond the classroom environment, post-secondary education, and industry. The passion and commitment of our instructors is what sets our programs apart from others that inspires our students to pursue excellence. -Deena Rodriguez, Assistant Principal.

“We are proud to recognize Corona High School for their commitment to providing students with exceptional educational experiences while ensuring equitable access to PLTW programs,” said Dr. David Dimmett, PLTW President and CEO. "We congratulate them on this achievement and celebrate their important work empowering students with the knowledge and skills to succeed, not only in STEM subjects, but also more generally in life and career."
